Vice Presidents, Concilium Care

Scott & Josie Gwin

Scott and Josie’s heart and passion is to see God’s story of redemption and restoration reflected in the thriving and resilient lives of those called to make disciples and be the hands and feet of Jesus either in their country of origin or in the farthest corners of the earth.

Before joining the Concilium team, Scott and Josie spent 20 years seeking to share the Gospel and love God and their neighbor well through camp and retreat ministry, church planting, discipleship and care for children and families experiencing crisis and trauma, leadership and team building trainings, and first responder and law enforcement chaplaincy.

Scott and Josie are credentialed in Critical Incident Stress Management for individuals and groups with the International Critical Incident Stress Management Foundation.

In addition to vocational ministry, Scott has over 20 years of experience in the commercial and residential construction industry, was a firefighter and first responder for 12 years, has 12 years of experience in the therapeutic equine industry, and has been involved in cross cultural contexts and ministry for over 10 years.
Josie has 18 years of experience in the therapeutic equine industry, was a firefighter for 6 years, and has been involved in cross cultural contexts and ministry for over 30 years, beginning at age 9 when her family lived a year of life in the Philippines.

Scott and Josie have served overseas together in Romania, the Philippines, and West Africa.

Scott and Josie have been best friends in marriage for 21 years and have, by the grace of God, raised and launched one son and one daughter into adulthood. Their younger two daughters still living at home are a continual reminder of God’s father heart for His children.

Scott & Josie and their daughters considers themselves global nomads, but have a home in Central Oregon and reside part of each year on Concilium’s first international training & retreat compound in Entebbe, Uganda.
